Early life

Mahesh Manjrekar was born on 16 August 1958 in Bombay, Bombay state. He was brought up in a Marathi Karhade Brahmin family.

Personal life

Manjrekar was married to Deepa Mehta, a costume designer, with whom he has two children - Satya and Ashwami.^[6]; they were later divorced.^[7] Later, he married M
