          Biography

          Kathleen Chambers was born in 1913 at Tonbridge, Kent, England.

          She was the only child of Oswald Chambers and Gertrude Hobbs.[1][2]

          In October 1915 her father moved the family to Cairo, Egypt so he could take the position of YMCA chaplain, ministering to First World War soldiers.

          She was always among the men in the recreation area. The soldiers missed their own children back home and some gave her presents.

          Interviewed in by Oswald Chambers biographer David McCasland, Kathleen told wide-ranging stories of her parents and her life.
